Join me for a cozy, hands-on clay experience perfect for couples, best friends, siblings, or anyone looking for a meaningful creative moment. 

Step into the studio, center yourself at the wheel and learn how to shape clay with intention. I’ll guide you through throwing and designing your own pottery. Something handmade, heartfelt, and forever tied to the memory of the moment you made it.

What’s Included:

• 2-hour private wheel-throwing session

• Up to 3 people - intimate, personal, beginner-friendly

• Hands-on instruction and guided support

• Create 1–2 pieces each (depending on pace)

• Glazing + firing included

• Calm, cozy, winter-studio atmosphere 

What to expect

Classes cover basic wheel-throwing techniques and are appropriate for ages 8 and up. During your private lesson you will center the clay on a potters wheel to create a basic cylinder shape, this cylinder is then transformed into your desired shape: Most students are able to create bowls, cups and vases during their first lesson. Private sessions are small, up to three students, and designed for individual attention so that each student can develop skills in a relaxed environment. 

Terms

  • Private lessons are $95/person for a 2 hour lesson.
  • A private lesson includes up to 2 completed pieces which will be ready for pick up 2 weeks after your lesson.
  • Additional fees apply if you want to keep any additional pieces you make. The cost is $20/piece which includes trimming, bisque firing and glazing.
  • To reschedule or request a cancellation and/or refund, you must email shanabpottery@gmail.com within 24 hours of your scheduled lesson.
  • Payment is due prior to the lesson, and 24 hours cancellation notice is required for a full refund.
